The No.83 Fuzz had a manufacturing fault: pots for Balance and Fuzz Depth were interchanged, i.e. turning the Balance knob clockwise increases the ammount of Fuzz, whereas the Fuzz knob adjusts the volume (all known pedals show this flaw). This simple error may have led to the short life cycle of this pedal.
