Top Gear Funky Fazer

made in England, 1975

Top Gear Funky Fazer, England 1975 (non-original power jack on face plate)

This Series-70 Funky Fazer is among the rarest Top Gear pedals and quite an unusual phasing pedal. The six-stage phaser is envelope controlled and the blue thing in the center of the board seem to be a lamp driven by a transistor and around some LDR´s. Op-amp are 741s in metal-can. Unfortunately the face plate of my specimen had been irreversibly damaged by drilling holes for a power jack which in fact is quite useful as the unit literally eats batteries (2 x 9 Volt).
