VOX V846 Wah Wah

VOX V846 Wah Wah 1972

The Italian (Jen) made VOX V846 wah wah pedals have been unquestionably the benchmark pedals for generations of guitarreros. Though components like inductors, transistors and caps changed over the course of production the specific sound of the V846 hadn't been affected too much. My 1972, 1973 and 1976 pedals on this page are within a (felt) tonal corridor of >95% of similarity.

VOX V846 Wah Wah 1973

This Italian made 1973 VOX V486 sounds just killer, with two CDIL BC109B transistors (silver can), a red Fasel inductor, tropical fish caps and an ICAR taper 100 kΩ pot.
