M3 emthree Mini Synthy

made in Italy by Meazzi Musica Milano, 1970s

m3 emthree Mini Synthy, Italy late 1970s

So, what is the Mini Synthy all about? Basically it is a double octave splitter and wave shaper. While the left control provides gradually increasing square wave (distortion without frequency variation), the knob in the middle provides frequency splitting of the incoming signal, adding a lower octave with distortion. The right control adds an extra low octave. The soft/hard switch enables either the distorted octaves or just the distorted incoming signal. The Mini Synthy was developped by T. Danko, who is mentioned on the steel case. A nice guy from Sweden (thanks Bjorn Andersson) helped to shed some light who T. Danko was.
