MXR Omni (MX-180)

with footboard (MX-181)

MXR Omni 1983

In 1983, four long years after Ibanez' UE-700 and UE400, MXR introduced the company's first multi-effects rack unit for guitar and bass, called Omni (internal factory code: MX-180). The Omni sports six different effects: sustain, distortion, delay, equalization, flanger and chorus with separate controls for each effect. A footpedal (M-181) enables the musician to switch the different effects on and off, as well as changing the order of the distortion and equalizer effects, a master bypass as well as an effects loop.
